Fontis is a leading software development and consulting agency that provides web-based retail applications, and works with clients in a number of verticals to deliver integrated solutions. We customise and build eCommerce sites, point of sale software, product and content management systems, and more.
We are seeking an experienced individual to assist in a business development role, and to work with management to improve existing sales processes and utilise current contacts. To succeed in this role you will be reliable, team-oriented, self-motivated, have excellent time management skills, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are essential, due to the nature of the work and the need to communicate primarily in writing and over the phone.

Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to generate revenue.
Work directly with potential clients to elicit, validate, and document their requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients.
Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the online retail industry.
Create and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies and processes.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales and marketing resources and materials.
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and competitor activities.
Attend industry events and conferences to network and promote Fontis.

Job requirements
Note: Position will primarily be work from home and is flexible with number of hours per week. Expected minimum commitment per week of 24 hours.
Experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably for professional services.
Strategic thinking, able to find ways to create value for clients and the business.
Build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders
High level of attention to detail.
Multitask and manage time effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Confident speaker who can present to groups when required.
Analyse market trends and identify new business opportunities
Must be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Work in a fast-paced environment.
Interest in online retail and the web.
Desirable, but not required:
Agency or professional services experience, especially software development.
Experience working with retail businesses, especially online retail.
Experience working with Pipedrive, or other sales applications.
